"While Matthew was born and raised in Western Washington, his study of acupuncture took him to Five Branches University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Santa Cruz, California, where he received a 4 year Masters Degree in East Asian Medicine.  He is now back in the Northwest and resides with his wife Jenya, and son, Cypress in Bellingham.

Matthew has extensive training in East Asian Medicine, which includes Acupuncture, Herbal Medicine, Tui Na (Massage), Dietary Therapy, and Qi Gong (pronounced CHEE KUNG).  He also has additional training including advanced clinical studies in China with respected physician and Acupuncturist Dr. Ma, Lao Shi. 

Matthew practices Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine because he believes in natural, holistic healthcare which should be available and affordable for everyone.  East Asian Medicine is broad in scope and therefore can treat many health problems effectively, especially those illnesses which are chronic in nature and which Western Biomedicine has difficulty in addressing.  He specializes in Pain Management and Women's Health Issues."
